How can I contact you guys?

The best way to get a really speedy response from the Esc team is to send us a tweet or post your message on our Facebook page.

Also, please have a look down the list of FAQs immediately to your left, you may find that your question has already been answered.

If you’re absolutely bursting to contact us in private you can email team@escapethecity.org, but please do this as a last resort as we get a lot of emails and prefer Facebook and Twitter.

Can I meet someone at Escape the City?

Much as we’d love to say yes to every request for coffee (and cake) we have to be disciplined on this front – otherwise we’d never get anything done (and be on a permanent caffeine high!).

However, we’re always up for helping out with your escape or hearing from you if you’re an ally in the struggle to do work that matters. Alternatively come along to World Escape Day! A day where we will network, host talks and collaborate to inspire people to find work they love. And have lots of fun, cake and general merriment.

Can I apply to work at Escape the City?
Our team is at full capacity at the moment and we don’t have any immediate plans to hire new people. However, if any of the following roles appeal to you please email your CV to applications@escapethecity.org.
  • Front-end developer with Ruby and strong UX experience
  • Back-end Ruby developer wanting to build something awesome
  • Paid graduate internship (learn the ropes, help us out)
  • Paid front-end web development / digital design internship
We can’t promise you a response immediately but when a vacancy becomes available your CV will be at the top of those that we review before we put up a listing.

How do I submit a new idea for Esc?

Firstly, thank you!

Please submit feedback, ideas, and comments via the ‘Feedback’ tab on the left-hand side of every page on the site.

You can also email us directly: feedback@escapethecity.org

Thanks very much for taking the time to send us your thoughts.

Can I share something with you?

Thank you for thinking of us.

If you’d like to share some interesting / useful content…

… please just post it on our Facebook page – click here
Or tweet @escthecity – click here

If you’ve escaped and want to share your story we’d love it if you were up for our online escape interview – e-mail school@escapethecity.org

We’re a small team and we’re extremely busy so we’re afraid we can’t respond to individual requests for sharing things.

If the content is useful we’ll certainly save it in our resources library and share with our community via our various channels.

If you are mainly trying to plug or promote your own product or service I’m afraid we’ll probably gratefully decline.

If you would like to submit a photo for our Big Escape Picture in the newsletter please just post it on our Facebook page – click here.

We can’t respond to individual requests (we receive a lot of photos!) but if you’d like to include your name and relevant links those would be included in the newsletter.

Thanks so much for this.

When are you coming to my city?

How can I learn about the Escape story?

The three of us escaped the corporate world in order to start this community and what we’re learning along the way is extremely relevant to the people we are building this platform for.

Learn more about us here.

You can read our book.

We write a regular blog called that you can read here.

Escapees

I have Escaped! How can I share my story?

Absolutely fantastic news! Congratulations. Nothing makes our day more than reading about someone who has decided to navigate the same terrifying and exciting escape trajectory as us.
We’d love to hear your story. Just fill out this short form to share it with us.

How can I speak at one of your events?

Thank you for your interest in wanting to speak for Escape. We are always looking to diversify our events and we host speakers that range from entrepreneurs and career coaches to explorers and authors. If you have an escape story to tell and lessons or expertise to share, we’d love to hear from you.

Just fill in this short form to tell us a bit more about you and your background and we will get back to you if it is something we feel would work out. Our events reduce dramatically over summer and we do get a lot of interest so be patient with us.

Who can I talk to about partnering or collaborating?

We get a lot of people asking to partner with us, and we want to be as useful as we can to as many people as possible. It is hard though and we are currently not actively looking for partnerships.

But we never want to close the door on potential options, so please email us your thoughts and we can take it from there; team@escapethecity.org.

Can I meet someone at Escape the City?

Much as we’d love to say yes to every request for coffee (and cake) we have to be disciplined on this front – otherwise we’d never get anything done (and be on a permanent caffeine high!).

However, we’re always up for hearing from you if you’re an ally in the struggle to do work that matters. Please look out for our next meet up event or check our events page for our next event.

Can I write for the blog?

We are always looking for writers for our blog. If you are interested in sharing your work with us please fill in this form with your ideas. We do get a high volume of offers to blog for us so be patient and we will get back to you if you are successful.

Thank you.
