ABOUT
Are you an Accountant looking to move into the NGO/International Development sector?

Being a volunteer mentor accountant for a charity in the developing world is a fantastic way of getting that vital experience to make the move to the NGO sector.

Accounting for International Development is a social enterprise which arranges volunteer placements for accountants with charities all over the world. Whether you can give two weeks of your time or more than 6 months, your skills are desperately needed with charities, hospitals and schools across Africa, Asia and South/Central America.

We have over a hundred charity partners with whom you could chose to volunteer. Tell us your skills, how long you can give and your country/charity preferences and we will put together an assignment which allows you to help others, travel and gain vital NGO experience.

One of our opportunities is with a microfinance organisation in the Philippines. In addition to providing small low-interest loans, the organisation improves the business knowledge and skills of motivated low-income individuals and assists them in their business activities.

They require a volunteer accountant for six to eight weeks to coach local staff and set up a Peachtree system.

The Philippines are a beautiful and exciting location, and recreational activities include: hikes, diving, snorkelling, museums, markets, restaurants, cultural and historical sites, parks, and volcanoes.
