AfID is urgently seeking an exceptional graduate with phenomenal networking skills, a talent and interest in communications, marketing and international development to join the Marketing team and assist with the rapid expansion of our successful specialist volunteer services organisation.

The individual will manage and improve the efficiency and success of a number of communications & recruitment projects including online network building (LinkedIn,FB, existing org networks), charity partner research & acquisition, statistical analysis and website management. The successful individual should be capable of adding to their role by bringing new, original and creative ideas that will expand our network of supporters, partners and most importantly volunteers globally.

We are seeking an outgoing, extremely articulate, organised and commercially-minded graduate. The successful candidate will be a great communicator with self -confidence, imagination, sensitivity, creativity, excellent inter-personal skills and have a real passion and pride for their work. They must be able to present themselves to the highest corporate standards whilst engaging effectively and building excellent relationships. Candidates must..

• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Candidates must be able to create original copy from a range of sources for a range of audiences and media.
• Demonstrate an ability to work efficiently delivering high quality outcomes to very tight deadlines & targets
• Demonstrate an ability to deal sensitively and effectively with people from all backgrounds, cultures and locations from junior members of staff to Directors and Chief Executives.
• Demonstrate an ability to establish, develop and manage relationships with key individuals and organisations
• Be an excellent team player and willingness both to take direction and use own initiative, as appropriate
• Candidates must be highly numerate and detail orientated

Previous accounting knowledge is not essential.

This initially 3 month internship which could be extended if successful.

Whilst our offices are in Hammersmith, London there may be a need for the intern to work remotely at times but candidates must be able to attend the offices for most days.

Interview process: Successful applicants will be interviewed on the telephone before being invited to interview at our W6 offices. We will be interviewing as soon as we see good candidates, so please do not leave it to the last minute to apply.
