Akosia is seeking THREE high energy, self motivated and dedicated FILMMAKERS/PRODUCERS/TEACHERS to volunteer on a 14 day creative project in Ghana. This short project has two main outcomes - a five day filmmaking project with children and an investigative documentary about a local charity and Ghana's need for our work.
Your role will involve the following: investigating the potential future impact and past impact of Akosia’s creative children’s projects in Accra, Ghana by exploring the children’s need, the activities of a Street Academy and the city itself. The ultimate outcome is to make a documentary about this topic.
Your role will be to achieve the following objectives:
1. To understand and define the ‘need’ for Akosia’s work in Accra, Ghana
2. To learn about Street Academy and their current activities
3. To run a 5 day film programme for 8 children
4. To produce a ten minute documentary about Akosia and Mexico
We are looking for creative, enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to make a documentary about the creative process and to also help the children write, direct, act in and produce their own films and find their voice to tell their stories.
If you are a filmmaker, writer, producer, actor or director and have a passion for working with young people and an interest in documenting the needs of a Ghanaian charity....THEN, we’d love for you to get involved and join us to make the magic happen.
