For the past 50 years Amnesty International (AI) has brought people together to fight for human rights. To effectively campaign for human rights in a shifting landscape, Amnesty International is undergoing a period of great change, establishing nine hubs in key locations around the world. 


Joining us as the Senior Management Accountant & Analyst at this exciting time, you will support the organisation through a period of significant change, building excellent relationships & providing sound advice to ensure financial awareness and accountability across the organisation.



About the role:


Based in London you will working in the Management Accounting & Analysis team to prepare budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts, including for overseas offices. You will need to develop excellent relationships with all programmes, and through effective business partnering will ensure Finance and non Finance staff have open communication on the work of Amnesty and its financial impact. You will also produce value added analysis to ensure optimal allocation of resources and prepare project based financial information to enable project accountability. In addition, you will prepare ad hoc programme or project based financial analysis as required in order to support programmes and senior management with decision making.


About you:


You will be ACA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with a degree (2:2 or above) coupled with at least 1 years post qualification experience in management accounting (ideally with exposure to SUN).  You will have competence in Microsoft Office ideally with advanced Excel skills. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, enabling you to respectfully challenge and deliver difficult messages to a range of staff and managers including senior management. You will be well organised, efficient & resourceful, and have the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
