Who We Are

"A fantastic business" Sir Gerry Robinson (Radio 4)
"A smart modern twist on the traditional rag and bone man" (Financial Times)

AnyJunk ( is the UK’s no.1 junk removal company.  Privately owned, it was founded by former corporate financier, Jason Mohr who set out to create the ‘Fedex of junk removal’.  Multi-award winning, our combination of service, eco-friendly disposal, and national coverage has allowed us to completely redefine an age old industry.

Today we have operations from Scotland to the South Coast, employ more than 90 people, sales of £6m and are growing fast. Shortlisted as Waste Management & Recycling Company of the Year in the National Recycling Awards, we divert from landfill more than 88% of everything collected.

Alongside our core man & van junk clearance business, we recently launched a price comparison site for skip hire, and a national skip hire brand,  Both new businesses are growing exponentially.

About You

A qualified accountant who wants to shift from professional practice / advisory to the real world of business.  You'd like to play a pivotal role in building a great company.  You have a healthy cynicism of corporate politics, you strive for excellence in whatever you do, and you know there's a lot more to life than making money.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director and supported by two accounts assistants (one of whom is mid-way through their CIMA qualification).

You will be responsible day to day for managing the financial reporting & accounting processes and payroll function, including preparation of management accounts, monthly bank reconciliations, VAT returns, credit control and debtor management, and annual budgets.

In addition, you will have plenty of scope to develop a wider, commercial role within the group - including financial evaluation and RoI analysis, pricing strategies & price setting, commercial contract profitability, employee incentivisation, and identifying opportunities for improved operational productivity and efficiency.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
  • A good degree from a good university
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Commercial acumen and great interpersonal skills
  • Proven Management experience
  • Experience of preparing Management Accounts

What We Can Offer

  • An initial salary of £45-£50k per annum depending on experience + potential for equity after 1 year
  • Immediate start date
  • A truly meritocratic environment
  • A relaxed, supportive and dynamic culture
  • The fun and challenge of working in a young, innovative business
  • A base close to central London with easy transport links – Earlsfield, SW19 London
  • A job to talk about that doesn't make people yawn!

We look forward to hearing from you.
