Arachnys is a London-based startup building the next generation of research tools for global businesses who need to understand their counterparties - and risks - globally. We're angel funded, have real revenues and are selling to some of the most demanding and prestigious companies in the world.

After significant success in the last year, we're looking for an enthusiastic, self-starting salesperson to take our product and revenues to the next level. You'll be joining a small team of ex-city professionals who have already escaped the city because they wanted a more fulfilling business development role.

The difference between this job and a corporate one is that everything you do matters to the success of the company.

The role will require you to adapt, learn, think on your feet and ultimately provide tangible growth to a young company with big ambitions.You'll work closely with the head of sales, product team and marketing to source leads, give product demos, and field customer questions.

The ideal candidate would have 2-3 years' experience in a B2B sales role but we will help train you to rub off rough edges and fill in gaps.

Responsibilities

  • Take leads and turn them into happy customers
  • Identify key decision-makers in target organisations and effectively engage with them
  • Give product demos, communicate benefits and train early-stage customers
  • Close line-of-business deals and assist founders and senior team members in closing high-value deals

Requirements and skills

  • Proven success in a sales environment such as B2B sales, telemarketing or recruitment
  • Enthusiastic, engaging, and calm and confident under pressure
  • Experience building relationships and networks
  • Excellent written communication skills and in-person presentation skills
