ARK is an international organisation whose purpose is to transform children's lives, with a strong focus on education.  ARK has a range of programmes, from the well-established ARK Schools network of academies, to new initiatives in the research or pilot phase.  This role will be based in one of ARK’s flagship new programmes, Mathematics Mastery, which provides online and face-to-face professional learning for teachers.  The programme piloted three years ago and is now in the process of rapid scale-up.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate to lead on business-critical growth projects and daily organisation management; who has the ability to think analytically and build relationships as part of an entrepreneurial and fast-moving team.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Passionate about transforming the life chances of children through education
  • Experienced in managing projects and solving problems, whether in commercial setting  (e.g. management consulting) or a results-focussed charity or social enterprise
  • Able to negotiate and build good working relationships with partners, including web developers, funders and headteachers
  • Flexible, highly organised, resourceful and able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • A committed and generous team worker, to whom going above and beyond expectations for their colleagues is second nature

This role is initially on a two year fixed term contract due to funding. Please submit your application by the 16th December 2013. Given the proximity of the Christmas holidays, we will be happy to interview early applicants in advance of the application deadline, if scheduling allows.

Interview date: 18th December

Start Date: As soon as available
