We are looking for someone to take the helm of our fantastic charity, Bathtub 2 Boardroom.

Bathtub 2 Boardroom is a charity founded to promote entrepreneurship and relieve unemployment. We provide cheap or free work-space, mentoring, a community and a home for people building start-ups.

We have recently opened the doors to a new space - an amazing converted church - in London's Tech City (Vyner Street) where there are now 40 young entrepreneurs all starting exciting new businesses.

Now the charity is up and running we are looking for someone to take it on and own it – in its entirety. A Programme Director, a CEO, a Bathtub Superintendent….

What would this involve?

  • Building on and forging the future vision and business model - then growing it into a larger organisation.
  • Managing all aspects of the charity: from hiring a team, to managing the finances, to opening more workspaces in London, the UK and one day, overseas.

As well as… growing the community, setting up a mentor and advisor network, building relationships with corporates and fundraising.

There is a very solid foundation in place - i.e. the real sweat of setting something up has been done. Everything is up and running: from governance and accounting, to registered charity status and a volunteer support team... and we have the first site up-and-running with a fledgling community emerging.

Who would this suit?

All it needs now is for someone with a dream to be their own boss and bucket load of enthusiasm and energy to take it to the next level...

Someone who:

  • can build a strategy and execute it
  • has experience managing people
  • enjoys getting their hands dirty (Bathtub races on the canal, networking, organising evening talks, etc.)
  • loves getting out there and building relationships
  • is extroverted, outgoing, and who is really excited by the prospect of being the central figure in what we have described above.

This is a great opportunity for someone to run their own start-up. It will also require you to fundraise your own salary. Therefore this will suit someone who has the financial means to work on a very low wage for the first few months.

Incentive - There is a very modest wage available from day one, however this will increase to a full salary (£35k -£45k) once funding has been achieved.

So, if you are an outgoing, organised and friendly person and you are looking for an exciting career change, interested in getting into London and the UK's start-up scene and love a challenge and the rush of creating something, then this is the opportunity for you.

If you are interested please apply below with a brief overview of who you are and why you'd be keen to hear more about the opportunity.
