About us

Blaze is a team of cyclists on a mission to upgrade urban cycling. It’s also one of London’s hottest startups (Wired’s words, not ours). Our flagship product is hailed as a life-saver by the international press. The Blaze Laserlight is a front light equipped with a laser. It projects the symbol of a bike down onto the road ahead alerting drivers to the cyclist’s approach and mitigating the risk of incidents. Designed to tackle the biggest cause of fatality - being caught in the blind spot - the Laserlight is also a lot of fun to cycle with. Like having a bat-signal for your bike.

Blaze has been operating for 2 years and in that time we have:

*  Fulfilled one of the first successful Kickstarter projects in the UK,

*  Received backing from some of UK’s top investors, including Index Ventures, Pembroke VCT and the Branson Family

*  Partnered with PCH International to help manage supply chain and manufacturing in China

*  Gained global reach - we’ve shipped Laserlights to 48 countries. 50% of our sales are international

*  Partnered with biggest cycling retailer in the UK, Evans Cycles and stocked in the MoMA Design Store in New York

*  Consistently secured coverage in the national press, including features on the BBC, CNN, Wall Street Journal, Times, Telegraph

*  Launched the award-winning Near Miss cycling research project
