About the Role

Right hand to the CEO, who is a respected lottery veteran having spent 8 years on the board of Euromillions and running one of its member countries.

The successful candidate will act as the CEO’s right hand and sounding board to drive and support the local country teams, taking projects off his plate to enable him to better leverage his output.

Actual tasks will span the full range of commercial operations including marketing, sales, finance, business development, project management and interactions with the investment group backing the project.

Typical examples of responsibilities might include:

  • Reviewing an existing POS network that is underperforming and helping the local team to devise an improvement strategy and executing on it,
  • Negotiating new distribution channels (e.g. getting POS into successful supermarket chain checkouts in an existing country),
  • Preparing for a launch in a new country (identifying appropriate locations, overseeing training, project managing, marketing etc)
  • Preparing strategy & budget for presentation and discussion with investment group.

Ideal Profile

  • You graduated from a top university or business school and preferably hold an MBA or equivalent.
  • You are motivated by the prospect of working in a challenging position.
  • You are an “out-of-the-box thinker”.
  • You have very strong analytical skills.
  • You are able to adapt quickly to a new business and cultural environment.
  • You will be located both in Luxembourg and on a plane hopping from country to country across Africa….
  • You are fluent in French and English.
