The British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is undertaking a world-class programme of scientific research. We now require Field Assistants to conduct scientific colleagues safely and efficiently within the polar environment both on continental ice shelves.

 No specific qualifications required, however, Mountain Instructors certification, Mountain Instructors Award are desirable.

Duration: 6-18 Months

Salary: Salary starts at £23,700 per annum, rising annually. Additionally, upon completion of a successful tour, you will receive a 10% bonus. BAS provides all training required, outdoor and work clothing, tools, and accommodation (whilst in the Antarctic).
