The British Red Cross seeks to respond to disasters and address humanitarian needs internationally as part of the wider Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. This is an exciting time for the British Red Cross as we embark on an expansion of our support to partners in several areas of the world including Africa and the Middle East. The Africa and Middle East manager will be responsible for leading the British Red Cross’ support to the Movement’s partners in Africa and the Middle East.

This is a senior position within the International Division of the British Red Cross. The post-holder will support the process of strategy development for Africa and the Middle East, reflecting the British Red Cross’ aspiration to build the capacity of the Movement to respond to crises and build resilience in vulnerable communities. The post-holder will lead the Africa and Middle East team in the UK and overseas in building partnerships through which to address key humanitarian challenges in these regions.
