We’re a cross between a therapist and an investigative journalist. We approach our clients rather like a therapist might. We’ll ask them a huge number of questions. Some of them odd but always revealing. We’ll dig deep to find out about their travel history, to find out about their quirks, likes, dislikes, wishes and to understand their deepest motivations and the goal of their travels too. Then, rather like an investigative journalist we’ll turn our attention to the place they wish to travel to and look at it with fresh, curious eyes. We’ll consider its essence, reassess it and think of original, unusual or different ways to bring it to life. We’ll often involve fascinating people who have nothing to do with tourism but who add huge insight. Our work is the polar opposite of today’s quick and easy, cut and paste approach to travel. We create richer travel stories. Lasting memories, family legacies. We create only a limited number of journeys each year, and invest conceptual thought, original research, creativity and a wealth of personal experience in each. The ideal candidate will have a clear track record in marketing in luxury, travel or another relevant industry.

You will have a brilliant brain, be inventive and unorthodox. You will need to be ambitious, hard-working and have an engaging and generous personality. We seek creative and original thinkers - "Trumpeter Swans". Clarity of thought and focus are essential. You will need to be capable of big thinking conceptual thought and manage the day to day requirements of the role.

The role requires:

  • An understanding of the marketing requirements of a niche and disruptive luxury travel brand
  • Client-side experience of working with all elements of the marketing mix
  • Entrepreneurial drive
  • Creative, unconventional and conceptual thinking

  • Review and develop effective marketing strategy and communications plan
  • Implement communications plan
  • Monitor sales & marketing process according to agreed budgets  and with appropriate reporting


  • Be first point of contact with our global PR team, support press partners
  •  Liaise with Trip Planning staff to generate content for client communications and other direct marketing initiatives  
  • Review, develop and implement Brown + Hudson’s online strategy
  • Evaluate public & private event presence opportunities and where necessary implement


  • Liaise with external design resources to produce marketing materials
  • Work with external web and multimedia resources to update and keep website current and relevant


  • Produce or liaise with external writers to generate copy for marketing materials, events and presentations

  • Monitor competitive activity and consistency of marketing initiatives with the established brand strategy, corporate style & tone of voice
  • Contribute to new product development and brand extensions
