Skills for Chicagoland’s Future (SCF) is a non-profit startup and civic initiative that is designed to close the workforce skills gap, drive business growth and get unemployed Cook County residents back to work. SCFpartners with local employers to identify their hiring needs and problem solve to provide creative solutions to solve their hiring challenges and support economic development in Chicagoland.  SCF  utilizes a variety of tools to close the skills gap including providing no-cost staffing services to employers committed to hire qualified talent from the ranks of the unemployed as well as utilizing training funding to collaborate with businesses to design train-to-hire programs to meet their hiring needs. SCF matches employers with unemployed talent through full-service search, screening, and assessment methods. We discover hidden gems in the unemployed talent pool, and connect them to employers through our C-Level relationships.SCF is a signature initiative of the City of Chicago and Cook County, delivering innovation through a unique, public-private partnership model. This includes access to matching training funds, for employers to upskill unemployed job seekers as they transition back to the workforce. We are the first local entity modeled after national Skills for America’s Future.PositionSkills for Chicagoland’s Future’s Talent Acquisition Lead will partner with the Business Partnership Team and business partners to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the organization and deliver qualified talent for SCF business partnerships throughout Chicago.  The Talent Acquisition Lead reports to the Senior Talent Acquisition Lead.ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a self-motivated, hands-on full-time Talent Acquisition Lead with a minimum of two years’ work experience in a recruiting and/or human resources function.The Talent Acquisition Lead will:
  • Support the Senior Talent Acquisition Lead.
  • Partner with Corporate leadership to forecast and develop plans for key staffing initiatives.
  • Manage full cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals across all levels within multiple business units.  Create and implement marketing strategies to attract passive job seekers.
  • Develop strong relationships and partner with hiring managers and business leaders.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to maximize effectiveness of recruiting process.
  • Track and report key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity.
  • Perform regular follow-up with the respective hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of recruiting process.
  • Actively participate in all staffing related activities and engage in cross-functional projects as required.
Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills, and personal attributes:
  1. Minimum of two years of staffing/recruitment experience with strong understanding and ability to recruit in all levels of the organization from entry level to corporate staff.
  2. Minimum of an Associate’s Degree required and Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  3. Knowledge of Taleo recruiting software a plus, but not required.
  4. Experience as a case manager at a workforce delegate agency is a plus.
  5. Excellent inter-personal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience.
  6. Clear understanding of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle processes.
  7. Must have experience in mapping and sourcing resumes’ from all sources, including job boards.
  8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and in-depth knowledge of data mining and internet research.
  9. Passion for the mission of SCF and enthusiasm for its success.
