CAF Venturesome is now looking to grow its loan fund, and develop innovative ways of financing charities and social enterprises. This is an exciting opportunity for two Investment Managers to join this dynamic and high impact team.
Job Title: Investment Manager
Based in: London
Hours: Full Time
You will, identify, assess and deliver investment opportunities and monitor a proportion of the loan portfolio. One Investment Manager will have responsibility for managing one of our thematic funds, the Community Land Trust Investment Fund, the other will manage Investments across the range of our general Social Investment Funds.
You will be highly numerate, have an entrepreneurial approach and strong practical experience of lending or assessing financial data and risk, making decisive assessments from a mix of oral and written information. In addition, you must have a proven ability to manage significant projects, or ideally, funds.
As Investment Manager and lead point of contact for many of our investments, you will be required to work closely with organisations, grassroots community groups, and with high net worth investors, and at an executive level, including reporting to the Fund’s investors. For the CLT fund you will also be expected to have familiarity with the housing sector, specifically - community land trusts, affordable housing, housing developments, planning and policy.
Enthusiastic about social investment and passionate about the need for social investment in civil society, you will be required to respond quickly to complex, and at times competing, demands.
