We have an exciting opportunity for an Innovation Development  Manager to join our award winning innovation team. This team is central to deliver one of Cancer Research UK’s (CRUK’s) strategic priorities: Fundraising Innovation.


Key responsibilities will include

  • Managing specific innovation themes through our development process to ensure that we meet the demands of our changing supporters and deliver exciting new propositions for the future.
  • Working in partnership with one of our Senior Innovation Development Managers to drive a specific innovation theme over a six month cycle.
  • Generating and testing a portfolio of fresh ideas.
    Working with our Innovation Delivery and Innovation Marketing teams to develop the recommended pilot and marketing programme.


Innovation is more important to us than ever before. We are on the cusp of major breakthroughs but we are facing a £100m funding gap. Investing in fresh ideas is essential if we want to attract more supporters and more donations in order to realise our vision – to bring forward the days when all cancers are cured. We need to create exciting new ideas and develop fresh approaches to proven fundraising initiatives.

Our Innovation team works in the Fundraising and Marketing department to create new and sustainable fundraising ideas, such as Dryathlon and Stand Up To Cancer.  To join us, you will be ambitious and career driven with excellent business acumen, demonstrable gravitas and be passionate about our work.  As an innovator you will have creative and analytical ability to solve challenging problems and enjoy working in a fast paced dynamic environment.   


You can help us save millions of lives through your:

  • Experience of working in Innovation /New Product Development Marketing / Marketing or Consumer Insight.
  • Experience of developing new services or products into business cases.
  • Project management skills – ideally with experience of managing complex projects that span several functional departments.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
