Challenges Worldwide currently require an experienced Human Resources professional to support our partner, a multinational NGO.  

Organisation summary:

The NGO works with children in post-conflict environments.  We are looking for a volunteer to support them in implementing an international HR policy.  This NGO is currently planning a project to ensure that all staff, both UK and overseas, are treated fairly and equally.

The role:

The successful applicant will support the NGO to implement its HR policies across a number of nations. 

Various HR operations will be covered in the position, including Recruitment / Resourcing, Performance Management, Training & Development, Payroll / Compensation & Benefit, HR Policy, Employment Laws, Leave Management and HR Data/Employee Information Management / HR admin.  

The role will involve spending approximately 2 months working from the NGO's headquarters in London and/or from home.  Approximately 4 months will be spent overseas in the following countries: Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Iraq and Afghanistan.

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum degree in Human Resources or Organisation Development (or equivalent), Masters degree preferred.
  • CIPD membership / certification preferred.
  • Well-rounded 4/5 years of experience in HR operations 
  • Experience or knowledge of HR Audit would be an advantage
