Collective is a programme funded by the Mayor of London and Camden Council supporting young talent, entrepreneurship and creative industries in Camden Town. We provide free hot-desking space for creative industry start-ups, available high street units for pop-up shops, work placements, training opportunities and a variety of business support.
Collective is a programme run by
Camden Town Unlimited, the Business Improvement District for Camden Town and is
funded by the Council and the MRF.
There are three elements to the
programme:
· Unique hot-desking space for creative industry start-ups
· Available high street units for pop-up shops
· Work placement and training opportunities
The incubator hub is a
converted warehouse above a famous art gallery offering free desk space to new
companies and individuals in the creative industries. With 20 businesses
already signed up we’ll soon be expanding Collective Hubs into two additional
spaces over the next two years. We’re soon to offer an ongoing programme of
events from networking evenings to presentations, launches and shows. We have
moving walls, desks and platforms so the rooms can be configured into almost
any space! We also run a series of seminars and mentoring events specifically
designed for troubleshooting in the early days of business so whether you’re
confused about tax or you’re not sure how to go to market in your specific
sector, we provide bespoke sessions and keep in tune with our members’ needs.

We have access to several
empty shop spaces which will be available to young creatives for FREE as
pop-ups for a period of up to three months. We are securing long term leases on
a cluster of units on lower Camden High Street and they will be newly fitted
out giving emerging fashion, arts, crafts, design and other creative students
and young businesses access to empty shops, to run events, and learn about
retail & business development. Camden Town is at the heart of London’s
creative community and we want to encourage new creative businesses and ideas
to be showcased here. We are looking for group or individual proposals from
inspiring people who can take over and manage the space for a day, a week, or
any period of up to a 3 months.

We’re looking for young
people with creative talents and skills who are interested in expanding their
experience, contacts and networks with creative businesses in Camden. We’re
working with some of the smallest and some of the largest companies in the
creative industries in London – right here and there’s an abundance of work and
project collaboration available. We support Fellows throughout the process of
negotiating work and building up skills through specific workshops hosted at
the Hub. We’re just as keen to help budding entrepreneurs realise their ideas -
We’ve got space, contacts, like-minded people and the time to help at this
crucial stage of set-up.
