Friends of Inti Wara Yassi (FIWY) are looking for a volunteer to help maintain and develop our supporter database. Join our small, hard-working team and help us create a better future for some of the least fortunate animals on this planet.

FIWY is the UK branch of the Inti Wara Yassi Community (CIWY), and the focal point for international fundraising and partnerships. Established in 2008, we have been supporting CIWY's work by raising funds, and increasing international awareness of the environmental destruction and animal trafficking that is taking place in Bolivia today, and the CIWY's role in combating this plight.

We are looking for someone who can help out for approx. 1 day per week. Experience of using and developing databases, especially Act!, is preferable but not essential.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Data input: amending existing and creating new records
  • Mailshots: performing data selections and sending news/updates to the required recipients
  • Database development: there are a number of modifications we would like to make to improve the way we record data. You will be the main driving force behind this.

The volunteering hours are flexible, as is the location - you could either work from our office in Brighton or remotely from home. Although your main focus will be working on our supporter database, there is also ample opportunity to get involved in other areas of our work - e.g. marketing, social media, fundraising, supporter services etc.
