We're looking to recruit a highly capable individual as an analyst for an internship with a view to developing into a full-time role if the candidate has the potential to excel in this challenging and entrepreneurial environment. 

The Intern will play an instrumental role in identifying, analyzing and executing investments, as well as assisting in the support and monitoring of portfolio companies. 

The candidate will initially be based in London but may be required to relocate to Dubai or Nairobi in the future.

The candidate is expected to possess the following qualities:

  • Flexibility to work with CCP’s roll-out plans for East Africa 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working with Partners to assist in the sourcing, initial screening and execution of potential investment opportunities
  • Complex financial modelling and analysis of a wide range of investments in Excel, including cash flows, IRRs, preparing various scenarios, sensitivity analysis, creating output tables for presentations. 
  • Perform industry and company-specific research and analysis in support of the investment idea generation process and the evaluation of new investment opportunities
  • Draft internal memoranda and investment process materials and reports
  • Providing research data and conducting primary research to support the key underwriting assumptions (markets rents, growth rates, vacancies, cap rates etc) 
  • General support to the transaction due diligence team, including dealing with external advisors and attending meetings as part of the deal team.
  • Provide information where possible and necessary to the investors. 
  • Track and maintain data for the investment portfolio. 
  • Assist portfolio management team with financial analysis and performance assessment.
  • Support the COO and global partners on admin / connectivity 
  • May be required to travel to Kenya / Tanzania at short notice
  • Co-ordinate between CCP Partners on conference calls / meeting schedules
  • Attend meetings and ensure timely follow ups are carried out
  • Needs to be a highly motivated individual who can work alone without direct supervision
