Two roles exist:

- Business Development Manager (London Based)

- Account Manager (Exeter Based)

1. Business Development Manager (London)

Crowdcube require a Business Development Manager for the generation and development of both inbound and outbound new business opportunities in the London area.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • An understanding of the fundraising/investment process.
  • An understanding of the market for startup and growth companies.
  • Knowledge and contacts within startup hubs, accelerators, incubators and other relevant firms.
  • Fantastic and proven written and oral interpersonal, communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills alongside a pro-active and resourceful attitude.

The candidate will be a key representative of Crowdcube in the London area and will be responsible for building relationships in the ‘startup scene’ in and around London. 

The Role:

  • Recruiting new Investee companies and evaluating the potential of entrepreneurial proposals against current and future investment trends.
  • Building relationships with other funding and startup–related organisations in the London area to stimulate new dealflow of fundraising companies on to the Crowdcube platform.
  • One of 'the faces of Crowdcube’ in the London area, attending and presenting at events and conferences.
  • Supporting and managing successful entrepreneurs through the crowdfunding process
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with entrepreneurs and investors, maximising investment potential.
  • Involvement in business growth strategy and business development strategy alongside process development.

2. Account Manager (Exeter)

Crowdcube require an Account Manager to analyse and select the pipeline of entrepreneurial businesses and manage these through the process from submission through to funding at Crowdcube HQ in the beautiful city of Exeter:

The Successful Candidate Will Have: 

  • An understanding of the start-up and growth company market and understanding of the fundraising process.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with confidence on the phone and face to face.
  • An interest in entrepreneurship and commerce.
  • An ambitious, pro-active, and resourceful attitude, be highly motivated and have commercial acumen.
  • Initiative, problem solving skills and strategic awareness.
  • Efficient work habits with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure.

The candidate will be the key point of contact for all businesses and entrepreneurs in the Crowdcube investment process.

The Role:

  • Evaluating the potential of entrepreneurial proposals against Crowdcube, UK and global investment trends.
  • Analysing, developing and approving business plans and financial forecasts.
  • Conducting financial and pitch face due diligence and verification to meet FCA standards.
  • Supporting and managing successful entrepreneurs through the crowdfunding process.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with entrepreneurs and investors, maximising investment potential.
  • Persuading, negotiation and selling the Crowdcube service
  • Involvement in business growth strategy and creative development of the investment team and Crowdcube processes.
  • Aiding and advising entrepreneur strategy post funding to maximise Crowdcube alumni success potential.
