Crowdcube requires an entrepreneurial and relationship-orientated business development leader to oversee a team of new business development managers based mainly in London. Acting as a company figurehead within the UK start-up community you will drive, inspire and coach your team to achieve strong market exposure and warm leads amongst hubs, incubators, accelerators and directly with start-ups. You will understand funding processes/considerations and therefore appreciate the advantageous nature of Crowdcube. Through an infectious personality and gravitas you will be acting as the senior evangelist for the company at tech conferences, meet-ups and events.



  • Previous line management of a partnership, business development or client services team.
  • A strong understanding and direct experience of the entrepreneurial community in London and wider UK.
  • Great connections into the startup/early stage funding industry in and around London
  • Acted as a company spokesperson at industry events attended by 100+ delegates.


  • Corporate finance and fundraising experience
  • Founded or worked within a start-up and understand the challenges/processes of fundraising.

 Personal skills required:  

  • Strong leadership experience based on empowerment and appropriate delegation.
  • Able to build effective relationships internally and externally, strong networking presence.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation, listening skills)
  • Computer literate and able to deliver a technical overview of the Crowdcube platform.


You’ll need to be educated to Degree level (min 2:1) or equivalent, ideally in a relevant subject.
