Why this role is brilliant:

Put simply, you’ll get to work with data from a brand that top Universities from around the world are clamoring to work with. You’ll help inform commercial decisions and how people interact with the site and the business. Needless to say, you’ll need the ability to work with people from different teams – one minute you’ll be analysing a campaign with the marketing team, the next you’ll be helping our designers with UX. Then, you’ll be helping our Investment team understand how entrepreneurs use the site and crucially what motivates/triggers investor behaviour. There’s lots to do and that’s what makes it fun. 

Please note: Experience within an e-commerce environment is essential to be considered for this role. 

You’ll also help the team:

  • Identify and deliver reporting requirements across the business
  • Extract and analyse data, providing concise and meaningful insight to the business
  • Build new reporting structures and help drive evidence-led decision making
  • Build and apply statistical models to large amounts of data
  • Manage our data effectively, including enrichment and cleansing
  • Produce and communicate weekly and monthly sales and marketing reports and the insights gained clearly and succinctly across various stakeholders
  • Support the marketing team by providing meaningful data insight to shape current and future marketing activities
  • Increase customer satisfaction through the implementation and management of an effective CSAT programme
  • Liaise with world-leading Universities (inc. University of Cambridge and LSE) on research projects

Experience and skills required: 

Within the context of the role you’ll need to have strong skills and be able to demonstrate effectiveness in following:

  • Google Analytics
  • Google Adwords
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel
  • MySQL skills and experience in data management in order to optimise data queries
  • Salesforce (preferable) 

We have a highly experienced Development team who you’ll need to closely with, as well our finance, operations and investment team. It’s critical that you can work effectively across functions and communicate clearly. 

You’ll be able to demonstrate:

  • Analysing commercially sensitive data and making firm recommendations
  • Thinking laterally and solving problems
  • Working across teams, building relationships and challenging appropriately when required
  • Simplifying complex problems
  • Presenting to multiple stakeholders
  • A passion for mastering new technologies and driving actionable insights by solving strategic and highly analytical problems
  • Being a self-starter that is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment that is often unstructured
  • Applying statistics and metrics in a business setting and the value added


You’ll need to be educated to Degree level (min 2:1) or equivalent, ideally in a relevant subject such as Applied Mathematics or Data Modelling. Or, a marketing / business subject with an A at A-Level Maths or equivalent. A professional qualification will be an advantage.
