Position and Company Background:
By providing outsourced equipment supply chain services to Africa we have expanded significantly in the last 3 years. With a growing team of 10 we are developing our business model to extend our service offering and the countries we operate in.
Our board have considerable experience in Africa and core to our principles is developing an effective model to provide trustworthy, open and effective supply chains which benefit all stakeholders.
Currently the finance department consists of a Finance Manager, Assistant & Credit Control and an independent external accountant. The potential candidate would work with the CEO, interim COO and existing accounts team to plan and implement a robust and scalable financial strategy.
Our current turnover is on target for £12m in the current financial year with a planned growth to £100m+ in 2-3 years.
Essential Skills:
Education: Must be a graduate calibre and at least part qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
Experience: 5 years in international accounting and trade finance for fast growth companies.
IT: Advanced Excel 2010,
Good working knowledge of common accounting packages
Natural aptitude for IT and systems
Languages: English
Desirable Skills:
Education: Accounting qualifications backed up by broader training e.g. MBA
Experience: In mining, supply chain or international trade related industries.
In sub-Saharan Africa (particularly West and Central Africa), USA and Asia.
