Enabling Enterprise

Enabling Enterprise is an award-winning social enterprise, and one of the fastest growing in the sector. Our mission is to ensure that one day, all students leave school equipped with the employability skills, experiences of work, and aspirations to succeed; in short, everything employers look for, beyond just a set of qualifications. We do this through creating innovative educational programmes for schools that introduce new, more enterprising teaching approaches. Our work is supported by fifteen top businesses including PwC, Teach First and UBS.

ABOUT
This volunteering placement offers first-hand experience of working in education innovation for a rapidly growing social enterprise. It offers the opportunity of working with the teaching team to ensure top quality delivery of our programmes. This involves supporting at student trips to top businesses, and designing activities and challenges to be included in these. You will also have the chance to support at these events by briefing and working with the teachers and business volunteers, as well as working with the students themselves. You will also have the chance to help create new projects and challenge days, developing teaching resources which will be used across our schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to become a teacher or teaching assistant.

There will be many opportunities to find out about the different activities and challenges for a start-up organisation and you will have the chance to build networks with top businesses which support us, such as PwC, UBS and Freshfields. You will also have a dedicated volunteer manager to offer close support and regular feedback.
