Experience Himalayan Nepal was set up by two friends to help people in Nepal by developing projects that work with the poorer members of the communities. Since starting in Sept 2010 we have helped save one orphanage, built a medical centre for 9000 people, new classrooms in a school and started a safe drinking project in the slums of Kathmandu.

ABOUT
The aim is to give each one a year in the Nepali English syllabus and ask them to create a mini syllabus for volunteer English teachers to work from.
Why this is needed is simple for a child to find a place in college in Nepal they have to pass 6 tests which the hardest being English. By creating these mini syllabuses we aim to use our volunteers to support the Nepali English teachers in gaining better qualifications for their students.
Its a project that when completed will be introduced into all of the schools we work with and volunteers who are interested in teaching in Nepal can actually know what to teach before they arrive.
The results should be more children passing the English test and new methods being introduced into Nepali teaching.
