Tom Stuart, Founder, Codon

Saturday, February 9th from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Do you want to wow seed investors with a fully functional demo of your great idea? Or are you a developer, who wants to explore the Rails ecosystem? In this intensive workshop, we will guide you from installing Rails and constructing a basic web application, to publishing your creation online, using the latest versions of Rails and Ruby.

You will leave with a basic working demo, published and usable via the internet. Introductory knowledge of HTML and CSS, a Mac computer, and a good sleep the night prior are required.

Instructor:

  • Tom Stuart is a computer scientist and programmer; as well as the founder of Codon, a digital product consultancy in London. He works as a consultant, mentor and trainer, helping companies to improve the quality and clarity of their approach to creating software products, usually on the web. He has lectured on optimising compilers at the University of Cambridge, co-organises the Ruby Manor conference, and is a member and speaker of the London Ruby User Group.
