Amber Raney-Kincade, Marketing Consultant

Tuesday, 19th February from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

There's a massive conversation happening right now: 228 million people across the world are communicating in 140 characters or less. But you're not sure if you should be tweeting or twating or what the heck a RT, MT or # is?

In our two-hour, hands-on, introductory course, we'll help you create a Twitter account for yourself or your business. You'll learn the basics of Twitter jargon: how to tweet, reply, DM and Retweet and we'll help you understand what followers are, how to get them, and why they are important.

Students will leave the class with a live Twitter account, knowing how to tweet, Retweet, use hashtags, links, photos, video and send private messages and with a deeper understanding of social media etiquette and engagement. And who knows? If you make friends, you may even leave with a few followers!

Pre-Requisites: No previous knowledge of Twitter or social media is necessary. This class is designed for complete beginners who want to start using Twitter regularly.

Preparation: Please bring your laptop.

Instructor:

  • Amber Raney-Kincade is a marketing consultant with over 12 years experience in the UK, with promotion, sponsorship, events, experiential, and brand awareness marketing across several industries. Kincade has created a seminar programme designed for individuals who wish to learn about marketing or do their own marketing, but have no previous marketing experience. She uses an approach to marketing that is easy to understand and can focus on the individual business needs, rather than a “one-size fits all” service. Her seminars have been recognised by Global Entreprenuership Week with “Badge of High Impact” in 2011 and 2012.
