Introduction to Interactive Prototyping

User experience is at the heart of building a successful company. In this class, we'll explore the full potential of interactive prototypes—an essential building block in creating web projects—and how they can help in explaining your design ideas. We'll cover the fundamental features of Axure, one of the top interactive wireframing softwares, to give you a good understanding of how to go about creating interactive prototypes, when to best use them, and how much detail they should go into.
Class overview:
+ Learn why interactive prototypes help your stakeholders understand your thinking
+ A basic overview of Axure
+ Students will learn the fundamental features of Axure by creating a fully interactive prototype
Target audience:
+ Someone working within a startup or a company using an agile working methodology
+ Anyone currently using wireframes to illustrate their ideas wanting to make them interactive
+ Junior designers or interaction designers
Pre-Requisites: No previous experience or Axure knowledge needed, but an understanding of wireframes would be advantageous.
Preparation: Students will need to bring a laptop with Axure pre-installed. A free 30-day trial version is available from the Axure website.
Instructor: Michael Wilson has been working within the UX industry for nearly four years. He is currently a User Experience designer at Karmarama, where he creates awesome UX experiences to help clients realize their goals.
