Introduction to HTML & CSS Weekend Workshop
Antonio Lulic, Web Developer
Saturday, 11th May from 11:00am - 4:00pm and
Sunday, 12th May from 11:00am - 4:00pm
Always wanted to code but never knew where to start? Dive head first into HTML & CSS with this weekend workshop. Taking a project-based approach to the two languages, we'll go through the principles of good code to make something quick and awesome. Before the weekend's over, we will have tackled the barebones of how to quickly develop a web site and will have put up a piece of your code up-and-running on the Web.
+ Getting Started with HTML & CSS (Saturday, 11th May):
+ Layouts & Floats (Sunday, 12th May):
Prerequisites: Basic HTML experience may be helpful, but is not necessary.
Preparation: Please Bring a laptop to class with Sublime Text installed. (Hint: The download button is on the home page.)
If you'd like a bit of a head start, check out Codeacademy's HTML & CSS for Beginners (complete as much of the basics #1 and #2 as you can). Again, this optional but may give you some extra perspective.
Instructor: Antonio Lulic is a freelance front-end developer from the North-East of England. In the last decade, he's written code for eBay, Confused.com, Gumtree, Tesco, Halifax, Lloyds TSB, Barclay's, BT, Coca-Cola, Orange, and more. He likes cycling, burritos and playing the guitar.
