GULUDO is looking for a Marine Biologist / Dive Master to pioneer and spearhead marine conservation projects (focused on fisheries management with local communities) and take guests diving.

This is an exciting position for a passionate, hardworking and innovative individual to both gain valuable experience and make a real contribution to protecting marine resources in northern Mozambique.

You will be part of the GULUDO team, a social enterprise which encompasses Guludo Beach Lodge (a stunning eco-resort) and Nema Foundation (running local projects) together contributing to sustainable development in this area of Northern Mozambique.

The role is for a minimum of 6 months and to start ASAP. You will be a member of the GULUDO team, ready to help with any area of the social enterprise but with a specific focuses on;

1. Marine Conservation:

  • Develop and implement a strategy that both monitors and manage local fish stocks with local fisherman
  • Continue to run and develop our humpback whale project (July-Nov)

2. Leading Dives:

  • Leading dives for guests staying at the eco-lodge 
  • Promoting marine conservation to our guests
  • Dive training for our local team

Please note that this is a voluntary position with full board and lodges and you will be responsible for your travel and visa costs. However, there is a possibility for earning commission when taking guests diving.
