James Caan, leading entrepreneur and former panelist on Dragons’ Den is looking for a new Executive Assistant to join his personal team based in his private equity firm in Mayfair. Joining an elite group of individuals, the role of Executive Assistant to James is a fast-track to management with previous EA’s going on to become Directors, CEOs as well as managing divisions within James’ business interests.

James’ personal team manages his direct responsibilities to more than 40 companies spanning recruitment, legal and professional industries. Additionally, they manage projects for his own assets including international property, his philanthropic interests and facilities for his privately owned Hamilton Bradshaw office in Mayfair. James’ strategic and government responsibilities, including his Chairmanship of the Govt. backed Start-Up Loans Company also falls within this remit, and therefore provides an exciting, challenging and varied role for an Executive Assistant.

Reporting directly to James Caan, as the Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for operations within the Hamilton Bradshaw company, the redevelopment of his personal property, as well as working closely with the COO of Hamilton Bradshaw on building and growing the non-recruitment portfolio of companies including the recently acquired Knights Law Firm. You will also be involved with the media team, managing James’ public profile and his related activities.

With such a varied and challenging role, the right individual will be a bright, talented, ambitious person who is looking for personal development and growth within a high-profile fast-paced pressurising environment. You must be flexible and versatile and be willing to adapt yourself to different situations whilst maintaining a high attention to detail. The ideal person will be looking to fast-track to management, learning from one of the leading entrepreneurs in the country, and keen to work hard to advance in a competitive environment. A good team member that can work closely with James’ personal team and direct reports will define the success in this role.

The role is demanding and requires a strong person who can multi-task and is capable of planning, coordinating and executing project plans. You should be able to prioritise and manage your projects and time effectively to add value to James and the team. The confidence to work closely with the senior management team and be proactive in offering support is key to achieving in this role.
