James Caan, leading entrepreneur and former panelist on Dragons’ Den is looking for a new Personal Assistant to join his team based in his private equity firm in Mayfair. This is an exciting, fast-paced role for a bright, driven, focused individual who is looking for a challenging role in a unique, entrepreneurial high-profile business.
James’ personal team manages his direct responsibilities to more than 40 companies spanning recruitment, legal and professional industries. Additionally, they manage projects for his own assets including international property, his philanthropic interests and facilities for his privately owned Hamilton Bradshaw office in Mayfair. James’ strategic and government responsibilities, including his Chairmanship of the Govt. backed Start-Up Loans Company also falls within this remit, and therefore provides a vibrant landscape for the role of the PA.
Reporting directly to James Caan, as the Personal Assistant, you will be responsible for managing James’ time and supporting the Executive Assistants and Chief Operating Officer. The role includes:
- Managing a complex, integral diary that controls James’ time
- Meeting and greeting all of James’ guests
- Responsibility of James’ inbox and managing all correspondence including ensuring that every email has been dealt with by the right person
- Being the key liaison for James and the team at Hamilton Bradshaw
- Compiling all briefings and ensuring James has all documentation and paperwork for all meetings
- Leading communication with James’ family and doing ad-hoc projects for his personal commitments
With such a varied and challenging role, the right individual will be a bright, confident and ambitious. You will be looking for personal development and growth within a high-profile fast-paced pressurising environment. You must be flexible and versatile and be willing to adapt yourself to different situations whilst maintaining a high attention to detail. The role is demanding and requires a strong person who can multi-task and is capable of managing your time, prioritizing and paying close attention to the needs of the team.
To be successful at this event, you need a proactive mentality, attention to detail, common sense and confidence. As a member of James’ personal team, you will need to be an excellent team player with exceptional written and spoken skills.
