Post completion of the deal, you will be expected to represent Hamilton Bradshaw as an active director on the board of five different investee companies to drive value creation. HB offers a wide network of in-house expertise including marketing, strategy, finance and legal – all available resources for you to tap into.

  • Be immaculately presented, an exceptional communicator with good presentation skills and an excellent command of the English language
  • Have spent at least the past 3 years’ in the UK with SMEs as either an investment analyst, investment manager or due diligence analyst, ideally in M&A, PE, venture capital, corporate finance or transactional services
  • Be a highly intellectual, ambitious and driven character who is results oriented and motivated by working in a high paced environment.

Meet our Investment Manager, Daniel:

Daniel Stuart-Smith joined the investment team as an Investment Manager in the Summer of 2013 after having qualified as ACA at PWC and subsequently Lazard in their Corporate Finance Team. Prior to joining HB, Daniel had spent 3 years doing M&A and Corporate Finance within mid-market firms on SME transactions globally. At HB, Daniel now manages a portfolio of 5 different businesses including the Recruitment Entrepreneur Venture-Capital business as well as Timothy James Consulting, SF Group and the start-up FlexStaffing.

Of his time at HB, Daniel comments “Despite working for some of the leading names in Corporate Finance and M&A, HB’s pace is unparalleled. When we want to do a deal, we do it. There’s no bureaucracy or red-tape – we make decisions promptly and as a consequence make direct impact in our portfolio. Since I have been managing my portfolio, I have worked with the management teams to attract talent, back new joint ventures, increase EBIT through identifying new client acquisition strategies, managing the budgets of the business and helping open new offices.
