"Headspace is doing for meditation, what Jamie Oliver has done for food" - New York Times
a fast growing, fast moving social enterprise with a mission to make the world
a happier place. Our daily guided meditations delivered both online and via our app, make meditation
easy-to-learn, fun-to do and accessible on-the-go. Most importantly, they make it relevant to
modern day life which, let’s face it, can feel rushed at the best of times.
was officially launched in 2010, by former Buddhist monk Andy Puddicombe, and former advertising extraordinaire, Richard Pierson.
Combining their unique skills, they set off with the aim to make
meditation accessible and relevant to modern living. Since then, the Headspace team have been working tirelessly to create online tools and mobile apps to excite, engage and
motivate users to experience the scientifically proven benefits of meditation. We hope that through exploring some of these techniques via our website and app, people will be able to develop a skill that
is valuable to them for life.
We’re on a mission to make meditation
simple and relevant to modern day life. We
believe that we can improve the quality of people’s lives by encouraging them
to take just 10 minutes out of their time each day. We believe in the importance of stepping back
from the busyness and distractions of day-to-day life that can all too often
end up clouding and obscuring our experiences.
We believe that in doing this we can bring a greater sense of calm and
clarity to the way that we approach our work, our interactions with others, and
ultimately our experience of life as a whole.
The Headspace app has topped the iTunes
Health and Fitness chart and there are now over 600,000 people subscribed to
the Headspace journey. Almost twice as
many people logged in to watch Andy’s recent TED Talk online, with over a
million views in just the first few months.
We have big plans. We want to spread the Headspace message far
and wide. With offices already in London
and Los Angeles, we hope that one day Headspace will have made it’s mark in all
corners of the world. We hope that you
can be a part of this exciting journey too.
Life @ Headspace
At Headspace we believe in giving people the responsibility
to manage their own working lives. Whilst we work hard, we also know the
importance of ‘downtime’- we like to think that we've got the whole work/life
balance thing on lockdown. Aside from ‘Taking 10’ each afternoon,
flexible working hours, and and drinking copious amounts of tea, you can expect
to find a team of awesome individuals - united in a passion for the work that
