Higgidy is one of the fastest growing food manufacturers in the UK and we are already the biggest premium pie & quiche brand. We are looking for a talented and innovative commercial operator who can join our fast-moving business.

Our pies, quiches & slices are all hand-made by our cooks in our kitchen in Shoreham by Sea (near Brighton), and are available nationwide. We’ll make 8 million pies/quiches this year, and we’ve just doubled the size of our kitchen ready for an exciting future.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work in an entrepreneurial and exiting business outside of London. Ideally you'll have more than 2 years FMCG sales experience but we're interested in hearing from a broad range of candidates.

Our Story

Higgidy was founded by Camilla Stephens and her husband James in 2003. The pair saw the potential for developing high end, handmade pies and quiches – a neglected dish despite being a firm British favourite – so set up Higgidy in pursuit of the perfect, imperfect pie. They are now sold in over 2000 stocking points throughout the UK and in just nine years of trading, Higgidy has grown from Camilla making pies in her domestic oven to 220 employees and £14.5m turnover.

High growth rates has meant for 3 years Higgidy was in the ‘Virgin Fast Track 100’ list of the fastest growing companies in the UK. Furthermore, Higgidy was the fastest growing manufacturer in the country on this list and has been funded through without any external investors being involved.

The Role

  • Manage and develop the overall relationship with one or more of our key customers, with a focus on the sales and marketing functions
  • Drive sales growth through implementation of Higgidy commercial and marketing strategy
  • Deliver against sales and profitability targets, P&L responsibility
  • Use customer knowledge and data analysis to provide insights and input into commercial strategy
  • Seek and cultivate new business opportunities
The Candidate

  • Pro-active, confident, passionate sales person with proven influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills, and capability to present findings concisely
  • Proven capability in generating and building commercial relationships
  • Likely to be graduate level with 2+ years FMCG sales experience
  • Passion for working in a small, fast growing business environment
