Job Title: Entrepreneurial practice manager with partner ambitions
Job Type: Permanent
Start Date: Immediately
Horizon is a unique rapidly growing firm in Old Street focused on the tech start-up space. Our outsourced finance approach means we are commercially minded, producing management accounts without fail on a monthly basis for all clients. Our unique use of cloud technology makes our model perfect for fast paced tech start-ups whether bootstrapped or in many of our clients cases funded by venture capitalists.
We are looking for a recently promoted Manager with serious partnership ambitions to join our general practice team.
The firm has a great mix of being a traditional close-knit team as well as encouraging an entrepreneurial, commercial & professional outlook. In addition we are well known for having a fantastic working environment and culture where our employees experience a great work life balance whilst still gaining invaluable experience and the opportunity to progress rapidly.
Little things like food in the office, music always playing, an Xbox, a table tennis table and even a set of decks make Horizon a truly unique environment among accounting firms. We regularly run team events with many members of the team taking time to play squash and football between themselves and with clients.
Working with us will provide exposure to many elements of general practice but this is not an audit role. The role will enable the right person to gain experience of working with a variety of impressive, fun and interesting entrepreneurs at different stages of their start-ups growth.
While you should be able to manage large and complex issues, the firm is looking for an all-rounder who is able to cope with the accounting and tax elements of a general practice portfolio. This includes contributing to the HR and marketing strategy of the business as we are a rapidly growing start-up ourselves.
