We are recruiting for a temporary role to help us set up our new incubator programme, Hub Launchpad. This ambitious four year programme has been made possible with the support of the Cabinet Office’s Social Incubator Fund, administered by the Big Lottery Fund.

The founding partners include Hub Westminster, the superstudio for social businesses and other changemakers in central London; the West Midlands based Accord Housing Group who cofinanced the programme and will be handling back office; and the The Long Run Venture who support small enterprises to grow faster.

The temporary Team Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the set up of our new organisation and incubator programme. You will be an integral part of the setup team by ensuring the smooth running of systems and administration during a busy period. You will be required to liaise with funders, delivery partners and help us to plan and organise any events and activities in support of the work that we do.

Hub Launchpad will take place in two locations (London and Birmingham) but all of the work required from this post during the set up period will take place in London and you will be based at Hub Westminster.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic community of leading changemakers by working for a startup social business and assisting the founding team to set up this exciting new incubator programme.

The successful candidate will be someone with a real interest in startups, a flexible, committed selfstarter withexcellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and a talent for building smooth running organisational systems. 

Ideally you will have the following experience

  • administrative support work
  • diary management 
  • excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • project planning experience and keeping track of progress
  • able to prioritise own workload
  • able to set up new organisational systems
  • outstanding communications skills, verbal and written
  • the following software skills: Essential: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) & Googledocs

Preference will be given to someone with graphic design skills who can support the production of our communications materials. An ability to use software such as Adobe Suite, Basecamp and Keynote would also be an advantage. This role would also suit anyone with a strong interest in working with start up business. 

This is a three month full time post starting in in early June.
