The Opportunity:

Impact Hub King’s Cross turned 5 in October 2013, and will now develop a series of impact driven programmes in addition to our Fellowship Programme and Scaling Support programme.  We are looking for a talented individual to come onto the team to lead the 
design & financing of future programmes - alongside & involving - the social entrepreneur community within Impact Hub King’s Cross. This is a new role, designed specifically to implement new areas of work under a new initiative of the current organisation. This role would suit a motivated, entrepreneurial individual with business development experience, a love of people and a passion for the social economy.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Working with members of Impact Hub King’s Cross community (including the team) to develop & implement impactful programmes. 
  • To scope out, secure & implement opportunities for the organisation within strategic focus areas.
  • To conduct thorough research on available funding sources open to Impact Hub King’s Cross and securing funds – where relevant – for programmes (including repeat financing in places). 
  • To lead the prioritisation & implementation of funded programmes, and recruit delivery team(s) where necessary. 
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners. 
  • Developing new partnerships to aid the long-term vision of Impact Hub King’s Cross and delivery of programmes. 



Person Specification 

You should… 


  • Be target oriented, with the ability & drive to work alone and build a team.
  • A successful track record in partnership brokering, development and maintenance. including strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience in long & short-term programme development in line with organisational strategy.
  • Have a successful track record in bid writing & project fundraising, including an understanding of the UK social sector funding scene, the negotiation of contracts, SLAs and grants.
  • Have a proven ability to write, present & deliver effective programme outlines or business plans.
  • A proven ability to create, develop & manage programme budgets. 
  • A good knowledge and experience of impact measurement & reporting (including to funders).
  • Have strong project management skills in order to support successful delivery of opportunities.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills - both oral and written.
