International Service is recruiting young professionals of all backgrounds to share their skills on ICS projects in Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Palestine.
Our 12 week volunteer placements are a perfect option if you're looking to do something different with the experience you’ve got, start your career in development, or hone your skills within an international context.
International Service’s youth volunteering placements are part of the government-funded International Citizen Service (ICS) scheme.
There are 3 elements to an ICS placement with us:
- pre-placement training to get you ready for living and working in a different culture
- a 12 week development project overseas
- post-placement training when you come back to help you share what you've learned and take action in your community in the UK
International Service works to protect and promote the rights of the most marginalised people in global society - this is usually (but not limited to) women, young people, and people living with disabilities. Projects are designed to enable you to contribute your individual skills and experience.Placements depart year-round in September, January, April and June. We have 100s of placements available between now and 2015.
