A new disruptive start-up in Peer to Peer Lending. One of the fastest growing and most exciting sectors in the alternative banking space.

LendingWell's aim is to leave our Lenders and our team members feeling valued, informed and included.  P2P Lending is becoming an extremely vibrant sector and we are all very excited about where the industry is going and the journey we will have on the way.  We want our team to experience the same level of enjoyment and excitement that our Lenders will have.  We most definitely don't have a corporate feel to us and have no hierarchy in evidence.  However, we do all work hard and we love to touch and feel the results of our efforts.

The role covers three main areas covering content writing, website management via a content management system (CMS) and acting as our brand evangelist.

Join our growing enthusiastic and energetic team and help us disrupt the tired banking sector.

1) Content writing:

We’re looking for a super-smart graduate, post-graduate or financial journalist with a few years under their belt, to become a domain expert in P2P lending and borrowing, banking and saving generally.

You will become a thought-leader in this space, write up the major developments that affect savers and borrowers and offer our company commentary on these developments, trends and innovations.

We want you to build a profile, network and presence in our relevant media niche, so that we are a brand with a real face and seen as domain experts.

2) Website management:

You will become familiar with our CMS and act as our Web-master, managing the website from day to day, publishing content, scheduling research and generally making sure the site looks amazing!

Enjoy this great opportunity to improve your digital skills, or if you have them already, further hone them, working closely with proven digital marketing professionals, web-designers and developers.

3) Brand evangelist:

We want to be the most vocal, responsive and attentive brand in our sector on social media. Help us in our mission to promote the brand, really listen to what customers want and generally just improve the experience for savers and borrowers in the early stage P2P finance world at this time.

You will roll up your sleeves, dive deep into social media (mainly Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+), and enable us to be a part of and lead the social media conversation.

Character traits:

We’re looking for an energetic, social, out-going, hard-working and communicative, general striver looking for a challenging and rewarding working environment.

Start-ups are fast-paced, dynamic, ever-changing and not for all. If you like routine, 9-5 and Steady Eddy, this might not be for you.

Skills:

We’re looking for web and computer literate candidates, who love the digital world and will flourish in a modern, digital business.

Apart from strong computer literacy, skills, contacts and networks in the following areas would be a strong plus:

  • Financial and investment journalism and media
  • Website development, management and maintenance
  • Front-end skills such as CSS, HTML and JS
  • Using content management systems (eg – WordPress)
  • Search engine optimisation and digital marketing
