Lokku is on the hunt for an ambitious, confident and web-savvy international Commercial Director who has a true hunger to grow our business in both new and developed markets.  If you’d like a key commercial role in an exciting and evolving international web company, and have an abundance of drive, determination and enthusiasm, please read on.


About Lokku:

Our primary brand Nestoria is a vertical search engine for the property market.  This is a highly profitable service used by 4 million people a month, across 8 countries.  We are driving aggressive traffic and revenue growth across the board, and particularly in emerging markets such as Brazil and India.  With our best in class monetization model, our solid financial base and backing, and our consistently healthy growth, we are extremely well positioned for further expansion, and we are now looking for a person who will make this happen.


The Role:

As Commercial Director you will have overall responsibility for the business development of Nestoria, and will define the strategy for growing our revenue.  You will close new partnerships with major online players, and will maintain relationships with our impressive portfolio of current clients with a view to growing those accounts.   You will be a key member of the senior leadership team of Lokku, and will work directly with the Founders, MD, CTO and Product Director on determining the overall direction of the business.  You will take a leading role in our expansion into new and emerging global marketplaces, and will lead and inspire our Commercial team in the execution of your ambitious growth strategy. 

 

The Person:

We believe this is a great opportunity for someone who:

You may be currently in a business development position, looking for more seniority and responsibility.  Or maybe you’re a marketing expert, and want to take on a broader and more commercial position.  Or maybe your heart is in start-ups, and you are looking for that next product that you can take onwards and upwards.  We are relaxed about your background; we do ask though that you have:

  • a proven track record of commercial achievements over a number of years, gained at least partly within an internationally focused role
  • first-hand experience of online business models, and online marketing (SEM) – you know your CPC from your CPM
  • the ability to work with and contribute to cross-functional teams, especially product development, and engineering
  • strong analytical skills and the ability to set up efficient business processes and forecasting models, and to manage profit and loss accounts
  • experience of successfully managing and growing a client portfolio
  • the ability to communicate fluently and persuasively in English, preferably with additional language skills in either French, Portuguese or Turkish.
  • experience of negotiating with and selling to mid- to top- level management
  • entrepreneurial spirit and a hands-on attitude
  • strong leadership skills, and a confident personality that will engage and inspire those around you
