The London Early Year's Foundation (LEYF) is the UK’s most well-known and respected childcare social enterprise, providing day care and parenting support to a diverse mix of families in 24 community, workplace and Children’s Centre nurseries across six London boroughs.

The Context

Early childhood intervention has been identified as one of the most effective and cost efficient ways of improving economic and social prospects. The London Early Years Foundation (“LEYF”) has a proven model of delivering education and skilled holistic care that nurtures children successfully during their critical early years.

With social outcomes having equal value with economic drivers, LEYF has established itself as one of the UK’s most successful social enterprises, winner of a prestigious National Business Awards for transformation. It balances a model of profitable nurseries, cost-recovery, and subsidised nurseries so that highest quality childcare can be made sustainable and available to children from different backgrounds across London.

The Role

LEYF is now looking for a marketing and communications professional to help realise its transformational growth potential. The Head of Marketing and Communications will create and steward a strong brand, oversee all external communications and provide excellent tailored marketing services for the distributed nurseries. The wisdom to know when to centralise and standardise messaging and when to adapt to local contexts is necessary.

For this position, experience of charitable or social enterprise organisations is not required, but a passion for the work of LEYF, flexibility, and a drive for results are essential. They will join an ambitious LEYF team driven by the market and social impact opportunity to influence the future of thousands of London’s children.
