Jobs insights – what you will be doing

As a Design Draftsman you will be assisting our designers with the development of drawings necessary to bring products through the conceptual stage, prototype stage and into production. From the handoff of a preliminary sketch or drawing, you will be responsible for the further development of production drawings using AutoCAD. At the prototype stage, you will evaluate samples and make necessary modifications to bring new products to production.

Your Responsibilities will mainly include:

  • Work with designers to transform preliminary concepts and sketches into detailed drawings
  • Work with designers on material specifications
  • Evaluate all product samples and through prototype and first production run

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Excellent drawing skills
  • Prior experience in furniture manufacturing

  • Highly organized with strong task follow-up capabilities
  • Strong inter-personal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluent spoken English
