From our first health resource in East London to an exhibition in the UN Palais Des Nations in Geneva, our projects cover a breadth of sectors and disciplines. A day at Maslaha can involve working with therapists, imams and community organisations for a resource focusing on depression, or artists, film-makers and Ottoman historians for an exhibition exploring the exchange of ideas between Islam and Europe, or research into how cities have been shaped by artists.

Our work is rooted in the local whether it is in a London borough or in a Marseille suburb, but is also channeled towards national and international strategic levels by combining online and offline tools. For example, our exhibitions have toured 35 cities across nine countries and received over 70,000 online visitors from 122 countries.

The project manager will join Maslaha at an exciting time as we grow and expand our various projects.

The role of project manager at Maslaha will provide an opportunity to give input and support across all of Maslaha’s projects, and in particular to help develop educational resources based on our previous projects. We develop practical projects and programmes covering health, exhibitions and public space, education, and aspiration.

Main tasks include:

  • Working actively in developing resources for schools and other audiences in an educational context, based on new and existing projects, including our exhibitions and health resources
  • Helping manage our website and sub-sites, including creating and co-ordinating new content
  • Being responsible for our social media outlets, including creating and co-ordinating new content
  • Helping to develop our fundraising database and revenue streams
  • Providing support to our work in health, public space and aspiration
  • Providing valuable support across all of Maslaha’s work and contribute to organisational and strategic development
  • Have the opportunity to develop ownership of different project components, based on skills and interests relevant to Maslaha’s work
