MASSOLIT provide online lectures in the arts and humanities, designed specifically for schools. We work with academics academics from some of the best universities in the UK (including Oxford and Cambridge) to give sixth formers a taste of what life might be like beyond AS/A Level or the IB.
MASSOLIT provides a library of lectures in the arts and humanities, designed specifically for schools.
We film academics from the best universities in the country to produce lectures on the topics that you won't find anywhere else.
At MASSOLIT you get to spend all day immersed in literature and poetry, in music and arts, in languages and philosophy.
Schools are desperate for high-quality content in the arts and humanities, and MASSOLIT provides it for them. Here's what people are saying about us:
"A well-targeted resource that is picking up some very big names" "MASSOLIT is excellent... a superb learning tool..." "Initial feedback from staff and kids has been stellar"
That's not to say what we're doing isn't a challenge, of course - but that's also exciting. This is your chance to be there at the beginning of a very long journey.
What can we offer Escapees?
We think MASSOLIT provides the perfect opportunity for someone who is interested in the arts and humanities and technology to do something that is making a huge impact on what secondary education looks like in this country.
In particular, you will get involved in a whole load of important things, which might include: - Convincing people (academics, schools, investors) to get involved in an awesome project. - Learning how to shoot videos, and how to edit and publish them. - Learning how to code a slick website, and how to sort things out when things go wrong. - Curating the most incredible collection of resources on the arts and humanities on the internet. - Determining the strategy for how we expand and grow and eventually take over the world.
We love people who: - Are passionate about things even if no-one else cares about it. - Have taught themselves something crazy through sheer love of learning. - Have tried and failed to read Finnegan's Wake. - Want to change the world.
What is our culture like?
After six months, our culture is still to be determined. You would be a massive part of creating the culture (which is pretty exciting, we think).
As a start, however, we like people who:
Love books, films, theatre, music, history, philosophy, etc. - if you're passionate about the arts and humanities, we'll love you and you'll (probably) love us.
Love learning, whether it's a martial art, a new coding language, how to cook, etc. - whatever it is, it'll be in your DNA, and you'll know what we're talking about.
Not interested in making lots of money. You'll be driven by making a profound difference to what secondary education looks like in the UK, which is better (we think) than making loads of money (which is just as well....)
