We are looking for truly talented individuals to become an integral part in driving the success of Mind Candy at this incredibly exciting time in our company history whilst we leverage our knowledge of branding to create innovative, new IP. 
 
The Role:
Providing support to the Licensing Team and Head of Legal, you’ll either have a law degree or conversion and preferably the LPC, and will have gained experience dealing with commercial contracts, particularly licensing agreements, either in private practice or in-house.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Creating and maintaining a contract database, ensuring all commercial contracts are executed and filed correctly
  • Responsible for the full contract lifecycle of licensing deals and the smooth running of contractual relationships – from deal memo stage to renewals of existing licence agreements, ensuring correct approvals are obtained
  • Efficient running of contract management process for licensing team and legal team
  • Drafting deal memos and heads of terms for new agency or licensing deals
  • Reviewing and amending standard form licence agreements and agency agreements
  • Negotiating deal terms based on standard form precedents
  • Negotiating legal terms in licensing agreements
  • Working collaboratively with the Royalties Coordinator to ensure that licensees are adhering to licence agreement terms
  • Working with the legal department to monitor the grant of rights
  • Manage database of all licensees and agents and be on-hand for all ongoing queries of a contractual nature from Licensing Team, including renewal of existing licensing agreements
  • Keeping track of contract renewals and ensuring their timely re-negotiation
  • Iterating on licensing agreements to address changing needs over time
 
Required:
  • High accuracy and pinpoint attention to detail
  • Previous experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience of licensing deals
  • Previous experience of contract database management
