This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a young and visionary startup that revolutionises the role of mobile devices in 'mobilizing' communities, empowering individuals and improving lives in Africa and the rest of the developing world. 

Mobilizr is a social engagement platform with a powerful vision to enable and empower a massive network of mobile publishers who tell the story of different social causes and branding campaigns by capturing and distributing snapshots of moments in their own lives using their mobile phones. We pay users for likes/retweets on all their posts

The Growth Hacker will be part product manager, part marketer and all hacker. He/She must have a passion for aggressively scaling consumer services, and will help lead the growth charge. He/She will be responsible for EVERYTHING required to massively grow the user base, including refining/evolving the product, developing a successful viral and social media strategy, subscriber analytics to identify and adapt to trends, etc

Responsibilities include: 

  • Define, test and evaluate growth initiatives
  • Lead a cross-functional growth hacker team responsible for helping drive user growth through experimentation and prototyping
  • Work with engineering, design and the rest of the product team to execute initiatives
  • Tinker with platform APIs and help create industry-leading growth tactics
  • Analyze and report growth success to the management team
  • Do whatever it takes 

We’re interested in hearing from people with previous experience from tech companies in a role focused on user acquisition, someone who has a proven entrepreneurial drive and an ability to see the big picture. We need a team player who is ruthlessly obsessed with achieving growth targets.

Our initial launch is in Lagos, Nigeria, with projected launches in 6 cities across Africa within 12 months
