About us

We are the UK's leading online community for GP locums. We provide an online platform to allow locums and practices to find and ‘matchmake’ themselves.

We're providing a tech solution to an urgent need within the NHS – finding emergency GP cover easily, quickly, and at huge savings to the way locums have traditionally been found. If all locum doctors were booked through Network Locum, the NHS would be saving millions of pounds!

We’re a successful, growing company, and there’s plenty of opportunity for you to grow as the company grows. Network Locum is a friendly, fun company, where you’ll become a core member of our bright, tight-knit, super collaborative team, growing the business UK-wide.

About you

  • You are smart, switched on, and get a buzz from learning new things. Previous experience in customer support or sales is a big plus.
  • We'd expect you to be a fast learner, and to ‘own’ each of your responsibilities, asking for help where necessary to ensure a high quality of work completed on time.
  • We'll want you to be an “outside the box” thinker about where new users might be hanging out or how we can engage existing users even more.
  • This might be your first job, but you will have gained work experience whilst at University and can demonstrate your organisation, communication and creativity.
  • Being an expert user of the internet and social networks is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – you should have phenomenal interpersonal skills, and enjoy talking with people in-person and crucially, over the phone. Your strong interpersonal skills should come across in any phone or email communication you have with our locum doctors.
  • You are willing to go the extra mile to look after our community, and are a self-starter who rolls up their sleeves and loves to take on new projects.

Your key responsibilities involve

  • Work with our lead Locums Manager to support the NL locum community across a wide range of needs, responding to inbound queries and coordinating community outreach.
  • Administration of the GP database and appropriate segmentation of the community.
  • Complete ownership over our social media strategy. Reporting weekly on twitter follower growth, facebook engagement (including facebook ads), as well as twice weekly blog posts.
  • Bi-monthly newsletter to our GP community – ownership, design, content creation
  • Design & management of marketing campaigns (e.g. through Mailchimp)
  • Daily contact by phone and email with our users to optimise their experience using the service, offer support, profile new users and receive feedback.
  • Helping to launch and monitor new site features such as the GP events calendar.
  • Supporting locum acquisition strategy, including research into new avenues for acquisition
  • Helping plan, organise and execute events for our doctors
